Our Chief Pilot, is the most experienced, full time Pilot flying in Essex, having flown Balloons in the Arctic Circle, Alps, Sahara Desert, Caribbean, Russia and many other European countries, which he is always happy to talk about to our guests

The Commercial Pilot's Licence issued by the United Kingdom Civil Aviation Authority is recognised throughout the world as the leading qualification for Balloon Pilots.

Our Balloons are registered Public Transport Category Aircraft and Eastern Balloon Rides has an Air Operators Certificate No. BL 127.

All passengers are insured against the unlikely event of an accident.

Our Balloon basket offers all passengers maximum space including seating resulting in even better safety and comfort for all on board.

The balloons launch from either Chelmsford, Earls Colne, Kelvedon, Braintree, Great Leighs or Colchester depending on weather conditions.

Ballooning, the oldest form of manned flight, allows us to ascend to thousands of feet, or drift along at tree top height and gaze down at the panoramic views of Essex and Suffolk.
