The balloon flights launch from either Chelmsford, Earls Colne, Kelvedon, Braintree, Great Leighs or Colchester, but it will depend on the wind direction on the day as to which launch field the balloons can fly from. Ballooning takes place in good, stable weather conditions.

Our Commercial Pilot's Licence issued by the United Kingdom Civil Aviation Authority is recognised throughout the world as the leading qualification for Balloon Pilots.
The Balloons are registered Public Transport Category Aircraft and Eastern Balloon Rides has an Air Operators Certificate No. BL 127.
All passengers are insured against the unlikely event of an accident.
Our Balloons have a specially built passenger carrying basket that offers all our passengers maximum space and comfort including seating resulting in even better safety and comfort for all on board.
