How to find our Launch Sites
(we suggest you may wish to consult a road map)

Prested Hall is situated just off the southbound carriageway of the A12, north-east of Kelvedon.
Coming from Ipswich and Colchester direction, leave the A12 at the Kelvedon exit and immediately on your left is Prested Hall. Go down the long drive and just before you get to the houses at the bottom of the drive turn right into the launch field car park please minimise disturbance to the residents when meeting in the early morning.
Coming from Witham and London direction on A12, take the Kelvedon exit and drive through the village, as if you were going to rejoin the A12 and follow the sign over the A12 to Prested Hall, and follow directions as above.

The Business Park is situated on the B1024, two and a half miles north of Coggeshall,(A120) on the left, well sign posted for Essex Golf and Country Club and Earls Colne Business Park. On entering drive for 300m to the security buildings and turn right. Continue for 200m and turn right again in 100m Park your car in the Cricket Pavilion car park on the left. Do not park on the fields. Wait in the car park to be met by the Balloon Crew at the appointed time.

Coming from London direction on the A12, exit at J29, A12/A120 north Colchester. Immediately on the slip road keep left, direction Ardleigh A1232. At roundabout 2nd exit straight over and immediately left into Old Ipswich Road (Gnome Magic) 300 meters at T junction turn right, The Crown Pub is on your right. 500 meters on your right is The Ardleigh Showground, Boot Fair field and Balloon launch field,
Park just in the field on the right and wait with your car to be met by the Balloon Crew. If gates are locked Balloon Crew will be there shortly before meet time to let you in.
From Ipswich direction: take A12, J29 at roundabout 1st exit left and immediately left into Old Ipswich Road and follow directions as above.
From centre of Colchester follow Ipswich Road A1232 to A120 roundabout and follow directions as above.

Newland Hall is situated 4 miles west of Chelmsford on the A1060, exactly 1 mile past the Roxwell Motor Company. From the centre of Chelmsford take the A1060, sign-posted Sawbridgeworth and Roxwell. Continue for approximately 4 miles passing the Horse & Groom and The Hare public houses. Newland Hall is sign-posted one mile past Roxwell Motors on the left. The launch field is situated on your right as you go down the drive before the buildings. Please do not park on the grass edge, only in the field. Toilet facilities are in the fishing Car park only and available 24 hours..

Blake House Craft Centre is situated at Blake End, approximately 3 miles Stansted side of Braintree, well sign posted off of the A120 with brown tourist signs. As well as Craft outlets there is the original great maze, a licensed restaurant and tea room. (Reservations tel: 01376 552553) If gates are closed please wait in small un-gated car park. Otherwise proceed straight through the gates, straight through the farmyard, and the launch field will be found on your left, and park against the fence.
Coming from the Braintree direction using the A120 Take the Felsted B1417 and Stebbing (B1256) exit approximately 2.5 miles from the A131 interchange. Then follow the brown tourist signs over the A120 to Blake House Craft Centre.
Coming from Gt. Dunmow direction on the old A120 turn left at Palm Trees restaurant (previously known as The Saling Oak) direction Gt Saling. Half a mile on the right you will find Blake House Craft Centre
